Solved How Fast Do LCD’s Lose Their Brightness?

Hi!

My name is Sarah and I’m new on the site. 🙂

I had a question. How fast do LCD’s lose their brightness. I have a LCD from EIZO (Japanese brand) and it is a few years old and total usage time on this LCD is 13606 hours. Its a 15″ Square (1024×768 resolution) I have gone through a lot of LCD and LED monitors but I have kept this one because of the quality but now the brightness seems low compared to another LED I have and my TV.

The specified brightness on this was 250cd/m2 when I bought it and now it has been used 13606 hours. How much brightness would have decreased by now?

      If you’re purchasing a new laptop then yes I would say the display will be better and if you old monitor is getting dim then of course it will be brighter.
