I bought a new mother board because I could not get old one to recognize old or new hard drive, Loaded windows 7, new drivers, and all that good stuff and computer was working fine. 4 hour later the system crashed while watching netflix. I could not get anything to work or my bios to recognize my hard drives until I removed my video card…now windows works but crashes a lot and there is a persistent error sound from my motherboard. Windows is sluggish also…any help is appreciated…
also…things I have tried: Unplugged slave hard drive. I had 8 gigs of ram and now i have it down at 2gigs (some success as this helped restore windows somewhat) I downloaded and installed ASUS power solution at windows prompting with little or no improvement. I also redid the thermal compound as this is a new motherboard…(no effect).

That series of cards pull substantial power from the 12V rail. Your power supply is rated at a total of 24A@12V. That is not nearly enough. That power supply brand is also a crappy brand that probably fudges the numbers. That said, the unit puts out all the power on the 5V rail, which is not utilized that much in modern systems. Buy a much better power supply from a reputable brand.
Post all your specs, including CPU, number of drives, etc.
