Solved Green Light Inside Desktop Stays On Even When Unplugged

I have had a tower computer for 8 years now. Last night I seen a green light inside the computer that I have never seen before. When I unplug the computer the green light is still on. When I pulled the side panel of the green light is on the computer board. Is this supposed to be there or could it be a tracking device on my computer

      I’d bet a ton of money (if I had more than $.1 in my pocket) that the light you are seeing is an LED and consumes VERY little power. It may be running off the battery on the mother board or even off the residual charges in the myriad of capacitors all over the place in there. Either way it is normal and should not be of any concern unless it goes out or turns red! 🙂
