Solved Gateway NV53 Black Screen

I have a Gateway NV53 when i turn on the laptop the power light comes on so does the charging light but the screen stays black, im running windows 7, AMD Athion 11 X2 M300, 15.6″ 16:9 HD LED LCD, 320GB HDD, 4GB Memory, DVD-Super Multi DL drive, MODEL # MS2285
Can anyone give me any advice as to what i should do…im clueless and dont know a lot about computers so any advice would b nice…ty

      i figured out my problem, the wire on the back of the screen was loose…i watched a video and i got it fixed…ty to all who looked up info to help but didnt get it posted before i fixed it
