Do not rely on Windows update or other ways to check your drivers for you. Go to Dell’s website and download the correct drivers for your computer anytime you need drivers. This is the only way to ensure you get the correct drivers. The only exception would be if you changed out a component like a graphics card, then you would go to their site and get that driver from that manufacturer. With your model number and your service tag number (and possibly your version of Windows), you should have no trouble getting the correct drivers. If you are planning to upgrade eventually to Windows 7, check while you are there if there are drivers available for your system specifically for Windows 7, I do not recommend upgrading unless you can easily find the proper drivers.
