Anyone have any idea how to set up this printer so it connects via wireless rather than a USB?? It’s connected right now via USB but want to connect via wireless. I have followed the steps in the manual and the set up wizard on the disc but still won’t connect. The printer will recognize my SSID but when i put in the network password i get a message that says Failed followed by a print out. Any info would be greatly appreciated. The computer it’s attached to is running Windows 7 64bit. And the router is a DLink (WBR-1310) if that info helps. Thanks

Connect the power cord to your Brother machine and then connect it to an AC power outlet (electrical socket).
Turn your Brother machine on.
Press Menu or Settings.
Press the Up or Down arrow key to select the following:
Select Network. Press OK.
Select WLAN. Press OK.
Select Setup Wizard. Press OK.
When WLAN Enable? or Enable WLAN? or Network I/F switched to Wireless or Change to WLAN? appears, enable the wireless network.
This will start the wireless setup wizard.
The machine will search for your network and display a list of available Network Names (SSIDs).
When a list of SSIDs appears, press the Up or Down arrow keys to select the SSID you wrote down earlier.
Press OK.
Do one of the following:
If using an authentication and encryption method that requires the Network Key (Password)
Enter the Network Key, then press OK to apply your settings.
To apply the settings, select Yes.(This step might be skipped in some models.)
If your authentication method is Open System and your encryption mode is None
Go to the next step.
The machine tries to connect to the wireless network you have selected.
If your Brother machine connected successfully
The machine’s LCD displays Connected.
If the connection failed
The machine will print a wireless connection report. Check the error code on the printed report.

Brother have an on-line chat system which works quite well, they are probably the best people to talk you through the process. Having said that, from my experience if a wireless printer doesn’t connect easily in the first place then you are always going to have issues with it, even if you do get it to work at first it will drop out at the most inconvenient time.
