Can Ddr3 Work In Asus P5kpl?

i am using asus p5kpl motherbord with 1gb ddr2 ram. Now my question is that can i use ddr3 ram with this motherbord. If yes then can it work with ddr2 in parallel.

      DDR2 & DDR3 are NOT interchangeable. They are notched differently so that you can’t use the wrong type in the wrong slot. Your board uses DDR2 so if you want to upgrade, DDR2 is what you’ll need to get. See this picture:
