Audio Echos Like In Bathroom Or Spkr Phone

  • 0

I am running WIndows XP and when listening to audio files for typing reports and listening to music, I get an echo sound. It sounds like person talking is on speaker phone and across the room, not at the microphone. When listening to music, sounds like in a bathroom or large open area, (cave).

I have already muted the microphone and have no Sound Effects tab. Also do not have CD for sound card.

  1. Windows Configuration:
Open the Control Panel and click on Sound.
Select the Recording tab, right-click the microphone being used, and select Properties.
Select the Enhancements tab, disable all enhancements, and click Apply.

  2. You must have sound effects enabled somewhere. find out the name of your audio card, if it is a card and download the software for it. It must be on the computer already, but where. Did you do a search for the name of it? Look in device manager for a name.
