Greetings:
So I RMA the Asus p8z68-v pro/Gen3 due to a Bad memory Bank on A1- A2
And after waiting almost fifteen days for RMA process I just got the replacement as a new Asus p8z68-v pro/Gen3
Here is the Problem with the new motherboard:
I can only get image from the On board video
(Intel graphics controller). The Asus 6950 2Gg cannot be detected by the motherboard
The same thing just happened with BIOS
Set to PCIE/PCI, no graphics card detected so
It defaulted to the built-in graphics.
PS: the Asus 6950 2gb Tested with another System & It’s working fine
The PSU also tested with a different system & I think it’s overkill for the Asus 6950 2gb, I’m using corsair TX 950
Monitor is a 24 Inch Samsung also Tested with a different system
Cheers.
It’s a user/builder issue, not a hardware issue.
From reading the manual I suspect the “lucid hydra” feature may be causing the VGA issue.
Page 36 of your manual describes a VGA LED. Is that lit?
I suggest you Enable the TPU switch described on page 34.
I suggest you also Enable the EPU switch described on page 35.
Try to clean the contacts in the video card slot with a rubber eraser.
After that, try the video card in there & see if the system will detect the video.
