Solved Acer Laptop Constant Post Code Beep

I have an older Acer laptop that gives a steady constant short beep on booting and even into Windows (yes, it will boot correctly). As it does correctly boot into Windows and loads all the way, yet gives me the steady short beeps non-stop, I figure it’s not the HDD causing the problem. I could be wrong; it’s been known to happen.
It also has a new power supply (ac/dc), so that shouldn’t be the problem either (I would think).
Question is this: what *would* cause this laptop to constantly give short beeps that will **not** stop until it is shut down?? Help???

      Since it starts beeping before windows loads it must be a bios error code. Unfortunately the quick start guide and the generic user guide–the only downloads for that model from acer–give no information about beep codes. Other aspire beep code links didn’t apply to your situation.

      Since it boots to windows check device manager to see if a hardware problem is showing, check to see that the date is correct (if not it could indicate a bad cmos battery) and check to make sure all your ram is showing.

      Do any error messages show on the posting screen prior to windows loading? You may need to hit ‘pause’ if it flashes by too quick.

      If that doesn’t help you might want to contact acer and tell those arseholes you want the beep codes for your laptop–the ones that should have been in the user guide.
