Setup/Uninstall Has Stopped Working

Whenever I try to install a game i get this error “Setup/uninstall has stopped working”
And it doesn’t matter if it’s “repack” game or a physical DVD game. The outcome is always the same.
And before anyone says something about pirated games, ill explain this, I’ve downloaded darksiders 2 repack(RG mechanics), but I have the physical copy, it’s just that the DVD has been scratched after i lent it to my friend.
I’ve had it on this pc before(the same repack), but for whatever the reason I can’t install any games now, be it legit game copy or not so legit.
Please help, I’ve been looking for solution for two weeks now and I still haven’t found one.

Intel Core duo CPU, 2.66Hz 2.66Hz
Windows 7 ultimate sp1 64bit(legit version)
4gigs of ram
Nvidia Geforce GT630 (it has about 4gigs of Vram)
