My computer woke up during the night to update, when I awoke the monitor looked like something from the Matrix. It had scrambled sections in vertical rows across the screen.
I’m in the process of updating my bios ( having trouble with usb flash..will fix that by switching to bootable cd). Should I update bios then move to the video card? Should I replace the card or try updating it first?
The problem-solution report says to install SP1 then do WinUpdate, virus scan etc… but I am already on SP2. ???

Ok, slow down, take a deep breath and solve one issue at a time. Don’t do anything to the BIOS until you have figured out the video issue.
Is the display normal during boot up? If you go into the BIOS does the video display normally? If so, try booting into safe mode with networking and download the latest drivers for you video card from the manufactures website. Install them and reboot.
