i have a ASUS VE247H monitor, it is running fine using the generic PNP monitor driver. but it seems that if i want to take advantage of all the monitors features windows (win7 x64) needs to be able to use a driver built for this monitor, which i cant seem to find any where, not even on the mfg website! please help.

However, having no driver installed does not restrict your access to all the monitor’s features. All those features should be accessible from the monitor’s setup menu using the hardware buttons which brings up an on-screen display.
I don’t have a driver installed for my monitor either, but it doesn’t stop me using all the monitor’s features via the hardware buttons on the monitor itself. These features are available regardless of the operating system being used.
The only software-based utility which ASUS has for that model is the “Multiframe Software” here:

Select “Windows 7 64-bit” and the page will refresh to show one item in “Utilities”.
