ArcSoft Connect Daemon is part of the services that comes with digital camera software, even video cameras on some occasions. It is safe to have on your system. However, the service can be “turned off” by going to “START” then under “programs and files”, type in the word “services”. When services opens, scroll down to “arcSoft Connect Daemon” and double click it. Here, you can turn it off at this point. Just keep in mind, you might need it started if you choose to use a camera on your system.. Joe
