SD Card Not Accessible – “The Specified Path Does Not Exis

  • 0

Hello all

I hope you can help. I am just back from a trip and was about to download my photos from my SD card (8GB). I used a memory card reader and at first I could open up the card and I was about to attach pictures to an email. I noticed attaching a photo took too long therefore I did try to attach the photo again. Something must have gone wrong in the meanwhile, when I tried to attach the pic again the device could not be recognised at all. When I try to open the memory card through “My computer” under the Removable disk I can only read USBC0[ and the file size (3,948,544KB) but when I click on it and want to open it a window pops up and says “The specified path does not exist. Check the path, and then try again” I did try to use the card reader in another USB slot and even tried the memory card back in the camera, no joy! Even now the camera does not recognise the card, it says “No images”.

Not sure what happened, I have tried to use Recuva, it’s done a deep scan and recognised 388 images, but they can’t be recovered as “the volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid”.

Please help, I am just back from my birthday trip in Iceland, I’d be devastated if I had lost all my photos!
