Recover My Old Data On My VHS Tape

I accidentally tape over something on my VHS tape can I recover my old Data back. I need some help I feel bad it was something about my kids when they was little.

      No, content which has been recorded over on a VHS tape cannot be recovered owing to the technology of that system.

      It’s not like a computer hard drive where deleted content can often be recovered. VHS tapes don’t work like that.

      For VHS recordings that you want to preserve, you should have snapped off the small plastic tab on the edge of the cassette. When you do that you can’t record over it (but playback still works).

      It’s too late for that now.
