Intel Pentium 4 Cpu 2.80ghz 2.79ghz

i have got a dual core processor but it shows the logo “intel pentium 4 cpu 2.80ghz 2.79ghz” is it actually a dual core or am i being fooled?

    1. The Pentium 4 is a single core CPU, but you may have a CPU that supports HyperThreading. That would make it appear as a dual (one real, one virtual) to the OS, even though it’s single core.
