Solved I Want To Overclock My Core 2 Duo E7500 Cpu

I want to overclock my cpu for better gaming.
Core 2 duo E7500 2.93 ghz
Motherboard asus p5kpl am/ps
2gb ddr2 ram with max 800mhz
Please help, I am fed up with lagging games.

    1. It has been a while since I set up my old E7500 but this is the best I remember:
      Base Frequency:400
      Multiplier: 8.0 (gives you 3.2GHz and FSB:1600MHz) (you can try later 8.5 = 3.4GHz and 9.0 = 3.6GHz)
      Memory Multiplier: 2.0 (gives you both an 800MHz RAM speed and a 1:1 Ratio CPU/RAM)
      Lock the PCIe at 100 fixed.
      Disable C states.

      riider will probably pop by and give you more details as I have forgot much in the details.

      Please note that you have not mentioned your graphics card (if any) and that will have at least as much to do with the graphics performance in gaming and actually more. Seriously consider upgrading that if you cannot yet upgrade the system and back down on the game settings.

      You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
