just wondering guys. i have ecs mcp61pm-hm mother board and i want to upgrade my processor from sempron 3600+ to an athlonx2 processor. just wondering i read it supports athlon 64 x2 up to 5600+ 89 watt but the ones i find on ebay are not athlon 64 they are just athlon x 2 and they have under the 89watt power consumtion as guide lined. will these work on my motherboard or does it have to be an athlon 64 model.

Socket type: AM2
TDP: 89 watt
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology up to 5600+ (up to 89 watt)
Athlon 64 less than 4000+
Sempron less than 4000+
So what you choose is not the correct CPU, you need an Athlon X2 Windsor AM2 89watt, see:

The above lists the AMD Part Numbers, and be aware you will unlikely find new, they are AM2 and NOT AM2+ or AM3
