Ge Wireless Keybd Won’t Respond – New

GE wireless keyboard 98614 – won’t respond, new – mouse works fine so its not the receiver – reloaded drivers already – rebooted – batteries are new –
is there a keystroke that turns the keyboard ON…. the mouse has a on/off switch…. wish the keyboard did….
instruction book is useless
