Solved Epson Printing Too Light

I had all sorts of problems with my Epson xp 420 everything checked, network ok firmware ok, software up to date, ink ok, getting either blank or very light prints, until by accident printed from microsofts photo app printer and the results were perfect, I spent 2 days trawling through every printer setup combination to no avail, the problem must be somewhere in epsons software, there is some incompatability between windows 10 and recent updates and epson printers, I have 2 copies of same printout side by side normal print dialogue and photo app printer the difference is amazing.

      Not uncommon to find that versions of windows, and/or subsequent updates, affect perpherals such as printers. The best one can do I suspect is to secure latest drivers (in this instance from Epson) and “hope” they work

      Fair to say it also ouccurs with Mac systems too; although (at least for me) by no means as often with windows.

      Have tried contacting MS to see what they say or offer by way of resolution?
