Solved Outlook Formatting – Bullet Format Changes When Email Sent

  • 9

I have Outlook 2007, and when I make bullet points in my emails, they look the way I want, aka indented correctly, etc. After the email is sent however, the bullet style changes in that the all the lines after the first line are no longer idented and run under the bullet point. I can’t figure out how to fix it. Help please!

  1. Keep in mind that you cannot actually control how an email is received, no matter how much time you spend formatting it on the sending end.

You may send it it Outlook, but it might be received in Thunderbird, HotMail, Yahoo, etc. It might even be viewed on an Android phone, or an iPad. Each of those clients might read the embedded formatting code differently and display it the way it thinks it should be. You might even see differences in appearance between 2 Outlook clients.

If you absolutely must have it viewed exactly as you are sending it, considered creating a PDF document and send it as an attachment.
