Word Cannot Start The Converter RECOVR32 ?

  • 0

When I double click on PDF files or attachment received on my internet I get the message “word cannot start the converter RECOVR32”. I DO NOT want to open in word. I only want to read, store, and /or print these documents. I have not had this problem ever before. This only started yesterday. I have MSoffice pro2000 program. I have a scanner that until yesterday I could scan docs then open and send as attachments. Now when I do that, I get this message. I am able in some circumstances to right click and select “Open With Adobe 9.0” but not on those items received off the internet from other parties.. and not on some things I have generated internally.
This is NOT GOOD! I have been happy with performance for more than 10 years… and now this happens? What’s the deal? If there is someone out there that can help please respond ASAP. If it cost $ I am be happy to pay for a solution…. but it’s got to work if I pay for it…
PLESE HURRY!!1 Thanks, Bryan Sims in Grand Junction, Colorado

  1. Check to see what program is associated with PDF files.

    Click Start
    Click Control Panel
    Click Folder Options
    Select the File Type tab
Scroll down to the PDF Extension and click on it,
in the box below see what program open it.
    It should say Adobe

If it does not, click on the Change button and select Adobe.
