Comment: I'm having a problem with my Sound Blaster Live! in dos 7.10 working. It gives me the following error: Creative Audio @ Port e800, IRQ 10 error: Could not allocate code/patch RAM below 4 Mbyte boundary. Try loading SBEINIT.COM before SMARTDRV.EXE or minimizing VDISK RAM. Creative SB16 Emulation NOT loading. Thats the full error message, if any one could help it would be great. Thanks!

Reply: (edit)Don't load any disk cache or RAM Disk programs, like SMARTDRV, RAMDRIVE, before SB Live! driver for DOS (SBEINIT.COM). And also make sure EMM386.EXE is loaded in CONFIG.SYS.
