Hello

I've got a VGA PCI card, S3 Trio64V+. I want to use it with my Solaris 8 OS. I already pluged it on to the board, but I don't know how to configure it. Anyone can tell me the steps to do this? I am new to Solaris, please tell me step by step to do it.

Thanks

Not sure if this card is fully supported on Solaris 8 x86.

As root, try using /usr/sbin/kdmconfig to configure it. Its a menu driven utility.
If the card is supported it will be listed when you run this utility.

If not listed, try installing the XFree86 video driver porting kit. Its downloadable at http://www.tools.de/solaris/xf86/#binary
and elsewhere.
