Complete newbie at linux with red hat 6.2 and KDE at 640 x 480 res. can't access buttons on the bottom of some dialog boxes could someone please advise me how to change resolution to 800 x 600 I know there are plenty of man pages but it works better for me at this stage if i have a hard copy and i can't get to the OK button on the print box

You change the screen resolutionby running Xconfigurator, unless ctrl-alt-+ works..!

If all fails, run xf86config (text config tool for X), so that you won't be worrying about reaching to OK button. Make a backup of your /etc/XF86Config so that if something goes wrong you can restore the unpleasant but working! configuration..:)

Tried XF86Config and buggered it up, just reinstalled no prob. and tried ctrl,alt,+ again no result then tried xconfigurator it worked like magic. Trouble now is to configure the net, i have a booklet that came with the RH disk but it is as useful as a hip pocket in underpants
