It has an integrated ATI X1200 graphics card.

I installed the drivers for the new graphics card, and then plugged it into the PCIe slot on the motherboard (the card also came with a crossfire connection but I don’t know where to put it, it doesn’t look like it is necessary). The instructions are a real pain and jump all over the place but I followed them exactly and it still doesn’t work.

Here’s the actual problem: the graphics card isn’t sending an output. It has a built in fan on the card and it is running so I know its plugged in correctly. I went into BIOS and the only section it has for the card is “Integrated Peripherals” so I went into that and then it had the option “Init Display” and I clicked on that and it gave me 3 options, PCI, OnBoard, PCIe so I selected PCIe. It still uses the onboard graphics card, or tries to. I uninstalled the onboard graphics card via device manager and it just reinstalls it on the system starting up. So I just disabled it. Now it uses I guess this “default” graphics card or whatever when I have no graphics card selected. The ATI Radeon 5750 isn’t showing up under “Display Adapters” on the device manager even after installing all the drivers and everything necessary, and the graphics card DVI/HDMI output isn’t sending anything. If I plug my VGA into where the integrated card would be, that still works. I don’t understand why this wouldn’t be working. Tech support for ATI is currently closed right now as well, and won’t be open till tomorrow so I thought I’d give this forum a shot.

If I haven’t given enough details please mention that. I’ve been googling for about 2 hours now and I still cannot find an answer.

[42

post-9651","question","type-question","status-publish","hentry","question-category-windows-7
["GET
