(It&#8217;s in Windows 98 SE.)<\/p>\n<p>I now have a broadband connection to the Internet. It uses a<br \/>\nwireless 4G cellular connection. I connect to the modem with<br \/>\nan Ethernet cable. Lights beside the Ethernet connectors<br \/>\nflicker, apparently indicating some kind of constant activity,<br \/>\nthough it isn&#8217;t clear to me yet what it means. The lights are on<br \/>\nthe back of the computer and the back of the modem where I<br \/>\ncan&#8217;t see them unless I make a deliberate effort to look. Maybe<br \/>\nI could put mirrors behind them&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>The new modem does not have the equivalent of SD \/ RD lights.<br \/>\nThere is one light that shows it is connected to the Internet, and<br \/>\nfive which indicate the signal strength. I really would like to know<br \/>\nwhen I&#8217;m sending and when I&#8217;m receiving.
