{"id":8487,"date":"2021-11-29T00:02:05","date_gmt":"2021-11-29T00:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lgildv5i97.onrocket.site\/answers\/?post_type=question&#038;p=8487"},"modified":"2021-11-29T00:02:23","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T00:02:23","slug":"solved-no-drives-found-during-windows-98-install","status":"publish","type":"question","link":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/windows-95\/no-drives-found-during-windows-98-install\/171069.html","title":{"rendered":"Solved No Drives Found During Windows 98 Install"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Im trying to install windows 98 on my computer, currently I have windows 7 and linux mint intalled on two other partitions on the one harddrive I have, I&#8217;m attempting to install windows 98 on a new third partation.<\/p>\n<p>When installing i select start computer with cd-rom support.<\/p>\n<p>then the screen says: this driver is provided by Oak technology inc&#8230;&#8230;then info about the driver&#8230;.Device Name: OEMCD001<\/p>\n<p>but right after that it say: No drives found, aborting installation<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>from their it brings me to a dos prompt,<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not really sure where to go from here, I think maybe it has something to do with config.sys and autoexec.bat?
