I think its got some serious network configuration on it but don&#8217;t know what.<\/p>\n<p>Windows 2000 SP 4 machine<\/p>\n<p>IP address\/DNS are set to autoconfigure but the IP is stuck on an old address and the DNS is blank.<\/p>\n<p>Setting a fixed IP\/DNS doesn&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t ping anything successfully.<\/p>\n<p>DHCP Server is unreachable<\/p>\n<p>Other computers can successfully communicate with the router through the connected ethernet link.<\/p>\n<p>Computer has been restarted multiple times.<\/p>\n<p>netsh winsock reset<br \/>\nresults in winsock reset command not found<\/p>\n<p>netsh int ip reset reset.log<br \/>\nresults in int ip reset reset.log command not found<\/p>\n<p>I have tried WinsockxpFix.exe<\/p>\n<p>The following commands work but don&#8217;t solve the situation:<br \/>\nnetsh &lt;enter&gt;<br \/>\ninterface reset all<br \/>\nrouting reset all<br \/>\nrouting<br \/>\ndump<br \/>\nbye<\/p>\n<p>Oh and just to be through, here is my ipconfig\/all:<br \/>\nWindows 2000 IP Configuration<br \/>\nHost Name: Machine<br \/>\nPrimary DNS Suffix:<br \/>\nNode Type: Hybrid<br \/>\nIP Routing Enabled: No<br \/>\nWINS Proxy Enabled: No<\/p>\n<p>Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:<br \/>\nConnection-specific DNS Suffix:<br \/>\nDescription: Intel(R) PRO\/100 VE Desktop Adapter<br \/>\nPhysical Address: ##-##-##-##-##-##<br \/>\nDHCP Enabled: Yes<br \/>\nAutoconfiguration Enabled: Yes<br \/>\nAutoconfiguration IP address: 169.254.116.182<br \/>\nSubnet Mask: 255.255.0.0<br \/>\nDefault Gateway:<br \/>\nDNS Servers:<\/p>\n<p>All help is greatly appreciated.
