Every time I turn it on to print something, it changes its IP address from, say, “192.168.0.18” to “192.168.0.17” (That happened today).<br \/>\nThe problem is, Windows doesn’t recognize the change and continues to say “Printer Offline”. I don’t know how to make Windows scan for the new IP.<br \/>\nI could, however, try connecting with the printer’s name, but I don’t know how to find the printer’s name. I know that there is a “computer name” for Windows PC’s, but the printer’s name contains spaces, one thing which isn’t allowed on computer names as far as I know.<br \/>\nAny ideas? I have a desktop (which I use primarily), and a laptop (with WiFi, used sometimes), if that helps.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"iawp_total_views":5},"question-category":[45],"question_tags":[],"class_list":["post-6542","question","type-question","status-publish","hentry","question-category-digitalhome"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question\/6542","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/question"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=6542"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=6542"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"question-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question-category?post=6542"},{"taxonomy":"question_tags","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question_tags?post=6542"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
