{"id":6308,"date":"2021-11-18T13:55:02","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T13:55:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lgildv5i97.onrocket.site\/answers\/?post_type=question&#038;p=6308"},"modified":"2021-11-18T13:58:40","modified_gmt":"2021-11-18T13:58:40","slug":"bios-does-not-detect-sata-drives","status":"publish","type":"question","link":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/hardware\/bios-does-not-detect-sata-drives\/74070.html","title":{"rendered":"Bios Does Not Detect Sata Drives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new build (my 2nd)<br \/>\nBios does not detect Sata (sata 2 and 3)hard drives nor optical drives.<br \/>\nMemory and USB devices are detected<\/p>\n<p>Some of the things I have tried:<br \/>\n&#8211; many Bios changes- Ide Raid Ahci, controllers, etc etc have been tried<br \/>\n&#8211; reset Cmos<br \/>\n&#8211; updated bios firmware to latest<br \/>\n&#8211; Windows 7 x64 instal per USB. Result Win will not detect HDD nor Optical Drives and won&#8217;t instal<br \/>\n&#8211; tried one sata device (sata 2 and Sata 3) at a time and have exchanged sata cables.
