I’m trying to set up internet connection sharing so that I can plug my xbox 360 into the ethernet port of my netbook and use the WiFi. I’d done this before, and it worked fine, the exact same setup and configuration, but now I’m having a problem with it. When I try to enable ICS on the wireless adapter, I get this error:<\/p>\n

“An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. Internet Connection Sharing cannot be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing.”<\/p>\n

I’m not sure why I’m getting this error, I haven’t changed anything on the network set up. It works fine when I use my other laptop for ICS, but not on this one. I tried restoring the router to factory defaults and setting up the netbook on it first, but no good. I have the Bell white 2Wire modem\/router. My IP settings are as follows:<\/p>\n

Router DNS\/Default Gateway\/DHCP – 192.168.2.1
\nLAN Address (for the netbook’s WiFi on the network) – 192.168.2.24
\nSubnet (for the netbook’s WiFi on the network) – 255.255.255.0
\nSubnet for Ethernet adapter on netbook – 255.255.0.0<\/p>\n

I’m using a Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 netbook running Windows 7 Ultimate.<\/p>\n
