I am using my notebook and other family computer are connected to the same router/WLAN, they are working fine with the internet. I changed LAN cables several times between the various devices, but nothing changed.

It turns out that my PC has an issue with its onboard LAN Controller (Realtec PCIe GBE Famiy Controller). The Mainboard is an ASUS P7H55-M Pro with onboard LAN (Realtec).

The current Realtec driver version is:

Driver: 7.23.623.2010
RT86win7.sys
RtNicProp32.dll
RTNUninst32.dll

I did reinstallation of drivers and also updates, but nothing works. The internet connection does not come back to life. Also reinstallation of drivers and repair attempt of WIN 7 did not show any positive effect.

The problem appeared after I had installed for a test the Ubuntu release 10.04. Ubuntu did not get internet connection, and after deinstallation also Windows 7 was failing. I have no idea what might have happened and how I can fix it without buying a new mainboard or NIC.

Does anybody have experience with this issue? Looking forward to your support!

Best regards
Martin

[49

post-4327","question","type-question","status-publish","hentry","question-category-networking
["GET
