{"id":4041,"date":"2021-11-08T11:19:26","date_gmt":"2021-11-08T11:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lgildv5i97.onrocket.site\/answers\/?post_type=question&#038;p=4041"},"modified":"2021-11-08T11:20:10","modified_gmt":"2021-11-08T11:20:10","slug":"hdd-light-stays-lit-while-stuck-on-boot-screen","status":"publish","type":"question","link":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/windows-xp\/hdd-light-stays-lit-while-stuck-on-boot-screen\/200265.html","title":{"rendered":"HDD Light Stays Lit While Stuck On Boot Screen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ok guys, my computer is stuck on boot screen and my HDD remains lit up. once it finally passes past the boot screen (20 minutes later) it freezes on a black screen which should be the welcome screen. well, it disables my mouse as well. my mouse is a USB optical.<\/p>\n<p>i have removed every bit of hardware from my pc and also tested multiple jumper settings on my hard drive and on my dvd drives. still nothing. i dont have a windows cd.<\/p>\n<p>if i go to access my &#8220;safe mode with cmd prmpt&#8221; it does the same thing to my mouse.<br \/>\ni get the option to log in as admin or under mine. but i cant get to either one because not only does it kill my mouse, it freezes my keyboard. my processor is good, i tested it on the computer i am using right now. the hard drive is good, i tested it. and i don&#8217;t think it would be the RAM that&#8217;s an issue.
