I used MGAdiag.exe. Under the validation section it said: “Validation control not turned on”. There was a button to hit to resolve any issues. I hit the button and was brought to the Microsoft Genuine Software site where I suppose it was attempting to resolve the issue. After a couple minutes, I grew impatient and aborted the process. Anyone know why the validation control would be turned off and how to turn it on? There is a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the computer tower; however, the product key listed does not match the product key listed in Windows when you go to My Computer, Properties. Does this look like a candidate for a Product Key update and would doing this turn validation on? Thanks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"iawp_total_views":1},"question-category":[76],"question_tags":[],"class_list":["post-2346","question","type-question","status-publish","hentry","question-category-windows-xp"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question\/2346","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/question"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2346"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2346"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"question-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question-category?post=2346"},{"taxonomy":"question_tags","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question_tags?post=2346"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
