I used AOMEI Partition Assistant Lite Edition 5.1, which is free. The program said it needed to do this in a Pre-OS environment, so I clicked OK to re-boot.<\/p>\n<p>The server never came back to life, but stalled with a message which reads<br \/>\nthe operation abort &#8211; information code 12<br \/>\ndisk environment has changed &#8211; please reboot<\/p>\n<p>Pressing any key had no effect, so I was forced to power off, but then the same thing happens.<br \/>\nI can&#8217;t find a way to stop the AOMEI Pre-OS from starting.<\/p>\n<p>I have emailed their support section twice in 24 hours, but have still had no reply, and I am getting desperate (and so are the users!).<\/p>\n<p>I have managed to get into the recovery console from the Server 2003 CD, but I still don&#8217;t know how to prevent the automatic startup in this Pre-OS mode.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d be very grateful for any ideas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"iawp_total_views":38},"question-category":[72],"question_tags":[],"class_list":["post-2074","question","type-question","status-publish","hentry","question-category-windows-2003"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question\/2074","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/question"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2074"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2074"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"question-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question-category?post=2074"},{"taxonomy":"question_tags","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question_tags?post=2074"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
