It is a Win 7 machine. The wired mouse no longer works but the touchpad still does. I have tried moving the mouse to another USB port, trying another mouse that works, restoring to a previous restore point when it still worked, unplugging everything and pulling the battery, etc. All things I have found mentioned online so far.<\/p>\n<p>One thing I see is that in Device Manager under &#8220;Mice and other pointing devices&#8221; there is no entry for HID-Compliant Mouse like on my laptop and also no &#8220;Human Interface Devices&#8221; in the list.
