Recently it&#8217;s been getting hotter and today it reached 62\u00b0C. The only thing that has changed recently is that the fans and intakes may have gotten clogged.<\/p>\n<p>I plan on fitting another case fan in the side of the case, blowing inwards and possibly a 5.25inch drive bay fan blowing in as well.<\/p>\n<p>The CPU has been installed for 14 months, is using the stock heatsink and thermal pad provided and I have not overclocked it at all.<\/p>\n<p>The case is a small midi-tower unit with provision for 3 80mm fans, 1 in the front, 1 in the side and one in the rear.<\/p>\n<p>Is this a case of bad airflow causing a heating issue in a small case, or is there some other underlying problem?<\/p>\n<p>Any suggestions would be very helpful before I invest in either more fans or transplant the hardware into a larger case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"iawp_total_views":10},"question-category":[44],"question_tags":[],"class_list":["post-15511","question","type-question","status-publish","hentry","question-category-cpus"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question\/15511","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/question"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=15511"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=15511"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"question-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question-category?post=15511"},{"taxonomy":"question_tags","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/question_tags?post=15511"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
