Each file is 64 kB. Not huge. I have deleted them<br \/>\nbefore, so there are not very many of them, but another website<br \/>\nreports this folder taking up more than half of a 160 GB drive.<br \/>\nThis is obviously a bug in Windows 10, and may have already<br \/>\nbeen fixed in an update, maybe even an update that is included<br \/>\nin my newish laptop&#8217;s OS installation. I&#8217;ve just noticed that the<br \/>\nfolder contains kind of a lot of files, and I suspect that they<br \/>\naren&#8217;t actually being used for anything.<\/p>\n<p>The other website says the service Delivery Optimization, DoSvc,<br \/>\ncan be disabled, and the files will no longer be created. It doesn&#8217;t<br \/>\nsay one word about other consequences of disabling the service.<br \/>\nBlack Viper leaves it as Automatic (Delayed Start). The description<br \/>\nof the service is &#8220;Performs content delivery optimization tasks&#8221;.<br \/>\nDoes anyone know what that means? What content? Delivered<br \/>\nhow?
