Been running this for several years and now when I prompt the plotter to cut, it’s progress stays at 0%, and when I cancel, it says ‘write port error.’ I have reinstalled program, reset preferences and device man. says LPT1: is working fine – a D25 serial port – only one on computer. The plot production manager is assigned to this port. I cannot uninstall or reinst. the plotter – it is part of the program and I have never seen this plotter in any other place in my computer except only in vinyl express in cut\/plot mode. Tech support will not help as this is an older program and will not help until I spend $3k to upgrade.
