I have a word file I created in Word 2010 and saved as a Word 97-2003
\ndocument. I reopened it a week later and closed it. Now, when I go to
\nopen it, the File Conversion box comes up. No matter what I choose,
\nthe text shows it’s “encrypted”. I’ve tried numerous conversion
\nattempts, opening on other PCs with different Word versions, Office’s
\n‘open and repair’ selection and several programs to try and extract
\ntext from corrupted files, but nothing has worked.<\/p>\n
Opening in Word as “Recover text from any files” gives me the following: (the
\n“1252LATIN1” is interesting, but not sure what that means…)<\/p>\n
