{"id":13981,"date":"2021-12-14T05:51:36","date_gmt":"2021-12-14T05:51:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lgildv5i97.onrocket.site\/answers\/?post_type=question&#038;p=13981"},"modified":"2021-12-14T05:52:02","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T05:52:02","slug":"lost-additional-mouse-options-under-win-10-settings-mouse","status":"publish","type":"question","link":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/windows-10\/lost-additional-mouse-options-under-win-10-settings-mouse\/239.html","title":{"rendered":"Lost Additional Mouse Options Under Win 10 Settings (Mouse)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2013 Lenovo notebook<br \/>\n\u2013 Windows 10<\/p>\n<p>I used to disable the touch-pad when using a separate wired mouse by going Settings &gt; Devices &gt; Mouse &amp; touch-pad, and at the bottom of those settings is a link to &#8220;Additional mouse options,&#8221; bringing up a dedicated settings\/tweaking application for that specific touch-pad, in this case a Lenovo device.<\/p>\n<p>I would simply enable\/disable as needed from this window, but all of a sudden clicking Additional mouse options gives me an error notification, with a whole slew of random letters, numbers and other characters in the window&#8217;s title, and in the window reading &#8220;Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For what it&#8217;s worth, it&#8217;s a personal computer, I&#8217;m the only user, and I have administrator privileges.
