Before moving the computer, make sure that the cover is latched and the cover lock is in the locked position.&#8221;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But after a long examination I do not see any latches.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, I have taken many covers off computers in the past including ones older than this one, but I havn&#8217;t a clue how to get the cover off of this one!!<\/p>\n<p>Rats!<\/p>\n<p>I did a search here and found an old thread<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20161117130306\/https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/hardware\/ibm-case-opening\/51919.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/ha&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There was message saying &#8220;then you&#8217;ll need to find a key for it, or else break the lock off (which is actually quite easy to do).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But the lock cylinder is flush with the front panel, there is not way to get a tool next to the cylander to pry.
