{"id":12017,"date":"2021-12-08T13:10:17","date_gmt":"2021-12-08T13:10:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lgildv5i97.onrocket.site\/answers\/?post_type=question&#038;p=12017"},"modified":"2021-12-08T13:10:49","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T13:10:49","slug":"cannot-get-dos-to-see-second-hdd","status":"publish","type":"question","link":"https:\/\/computing.net\/answers\/dos\/cannot-get-dos-to-see-second-hdd\/17174.html","title":{"rendered":"Cannot Get DOS To See Second HDD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi all!<br \/>\nI have been trying to get DOS to recognise my second HDD, it is the slave on IDE0.<br \/>\nI am dual booting MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows XP<\/p>\n<p>I have added more drive letters through config.sys, (i know this is unessecary now, but one boot disk program had it partitioned with many 2Gb partitions, which I thought I&#8217;d try)<br \/>\nI have partitioned the disk &#8211; a 20Gb Seagate- with one 1960mb partition, FAT16.<br \/>\nI have tried all sorts of methods to get DOS to see it &#8211; I can access C: and A: and CD-ROM, which is now F: but not any other letter.<br \/>\nXP sees the disk just fine.
