XP drivers are no good for Windows 7. Vista drivers will often work on Windows 7, but if they don't exist either, you will have to buy a new scanner that connects to a USB port (they all connect to USB nowadays). Parallel-port scanners are no longer supported by any printer/scanner manufacturer.
