Solved My Asus X553m Laptop Has Recently Become Very Slow

My ASUS X553M laptop has recently become very slow in booting and running of application programs, this began recently after I began updating windows and asus updates online. What might be the cause and solution?

      I have seen this issue happen when Windows installs drivers for something a driver is already installed for (usually motherboard firmware). The other drawback to this is, unless we know which updates were installed recently, we won’t know which one to uninstall. That and as Phil said, Windows 10 is forcing its updates on things now, which is not cool.

      I agree with the factory recovery, that will definitely fix this problem. But, from there, let Windows install the updates, not Asus.
