Solved Is Lenovo Service Bridge Useful Or Dangerous

  • 0

Bought a Lenovo laptop with win 8.1. Tried win 10, but did not like it. Erased, I thought, all hard disk partitions and put Win 7 Home on it. Win 10 kept pushing, so put GWX Control Panel to prevent it installing. Now Lenovo pesters me daily to install Lenovo Service Bridge, a program that used to be flawed, and for which I have little use.

Looked at Windows diskmanagement and found a small partition “system reserved”. This has probably to do with the pop up appearing every day. How do I erase that ?

  1. See the link below for an explanation. Excuse my ignorance but what is GWX Control Panel?

I believe there is an option in Windows update to block the installation of Windows 10.
