Smart Card Authentication HP DC7700

Interesting problem here. One of our workstations is presenting the following message and refuses to go pass this screen right at post time.

“Smart card authentication”

“Smart card reader not present”

We don’t use any smart card readers and no one has been messing around in the bios. I have tried clearing the bios with the jumper, removing and replacing the password protect jumper on the motherboard, but still the same error message. Can’t seem to find anything on the web either.
