Broken Vga Port On Pc

The connection piece of my vga got broken off of my pc, I was wondering would something like this work for displaying video to my television?

    1. No it won’t work because that is simply a cable with no adapter of any sort – it’s probably meant for a video recorder or something similar.

      Something like this should work, assuming you have a USB 2.0 or newer port – USB 1 will be too slow:

      How, exactly, is the port broken – physically not there? pins broken? Ideally, if it is a PC you have, and not a laptop, then a new adapter card would be a better option.

    2. As JohnR suggests… if this is desktop computer (not a laptop) consider installing an add-in/plug-in vga card.
